A quick tip if you're trying to run Nodemon and Webpack watch for Node.js on Windows, the watch command may need some adjustment.

In package.json the Mac / Linux config line looks something like this:

"scripts": {
    "watch": "nodemon db --ignore frontend-js --ignore public/ & webpack --watch"
  },

but in Windows it won't work, instead it needs to look something like this:

"scripts": {
    "watch": "start nodemon db --ignore frontend-js --ignore public/ && start webpack --watch"
  },

Notice start before nodemon and webpack and double && instead of single &.

If you're using VS Code you may be used to npm run watch running within the editor terminal view, this will no longer happen.

On Windows when you run npm run watch two separate terminals will open, one for nodemon and one for webpack, and the watchers will be watching.
